Aphro's new album/beat-tape is out now. It's a jazzy jawn, inspired by European New Wave films that enlisted American Jazz greats to compose the score, like "Elevator to the Gallows" and "Blow Up". It's also inspired by some personal relationships and situations that mirror some of the events in the latter film. The title is a play on "Venus in Furs", which also happens to be a late 60s sexploitation film centered around a Jazz trumpet player.
